Best Surveillance NVR Kits (Sep 2026)

Eight PoE camera systems, $170 to $1,600, scored on channel count, preinstalled storage, night image quality and whether person detection runs on the recorder or in the cloud. HPR 9.3 · Anpviz 8CH 4K PoE System, 6 Cameras · based on 92 reviews · $550 — first because the 8-channel recorder leaves room for four more cameras, the drive is included rather than extra, and recording continues without a subscription. Six cameras cover a normal house perimeter without gaps. HPR 9.1 · Anpviz 4K 16CH Dome System · based on 114 reviews · $750 — the better buy for a larger property or a business, and the one with the most owner feedback behind it. HPR 9.0 · Anpviz 4K 16CH, 12 Cameras · $1,300 — 16 channels and a full camera set for a large site. Two cautions. PoE means running cable, so plan the runs before you buy; a wireless kit is easier to install and worse under load. And storage maths matters: 4K continuous recording fills a 1 TB drive in about a week, so rely on motion recording or buy a bigger drive.
